With the regular season ending last Wednesday, the time has now come for the playdowns. The four teams placed 7th to 10th will battle to secure themselves a spot in the next season.




After eleven long playdays, the four top teams on the lower half will fight eachother for two places in the next season, which will be the 14th edition of the WarCraft III Champions League. The two losing teams in the playdowns will have to go through a difficult qualification if they wish to re-enter the finest of leagues. The four teams who'll be struggling in the playdowns are Alternate aTTax, Team fnatic, mTw and PGS Gaming, all who look quite equally strong going in to this nerve-rattling drama.

Starfilled clash when mTw faces fnatic


The match between re-born fnatic and this season's dissappointment mTw looks, at least on paper, to become a very exciting encounter. Fnatic signed Go's Korean lineup along with adding Shy and FoCuS from MYM towards the end of the season and are looking slightly stronger. However, there is no telling what mTw might pull out of their sleeves when players such as Protois and Rainbow get to business. By recently recruting Check, mTw has bolstered their forces. Unfortunately for them, their new Korean star won't be available for play tonight since he's still barred. It remains to be seen if they can still muster enough strength to overcome their Korean adversaries.

Fellow Europeans drawing sword against eachother


No mercy what so ever will be shown when two of the finest European teams, aTTax and PGS, goes head to head against eachother. With PGS chocking Wicked in the last playday, aTTax, who had a small chance to climb up to a playoff placement until the very end, will have to be on their toes. However, aTTax held their ground impressively against WE in the last playday as well as defeating wNv a few days before that. So it's definetly two teams in shape we will see go up against each other.
