With the kick of Sunday next week of the first qualifier, the National German team announced today their list players for the European Nations Cup.

Given that Hanf won’t be able to attend the finals, and so the German team won’t have the disposal at the 2on2 combination with Protois, the German team had to find a replacement.

After a strong performance in the WC3L the 2on2 couple dArk and yAws got selected to play the 2on2 games for the German team and could also be used in the solo games.

The Alternate couple proofed themselves in the WC3L with a current record of 9-6 in maps. This included a win over the 2on2 team of the Beijing eSports Team and most recently versus the Korean two of Fnatic.

Remarkably missing is the Orc player Eric from PGS and Trydying from Raptor gaming. It’s also distinct that the German team is missing players from the Nightelf race.

In a reaction Team Manager of the German team, Dennis "TaKe" Gehlen, explained his choice to leave out Eric and Trydying in the current selection but select the German couple from team Alternate.

“ Well we thought about Eric and also Trydying and we still do, so its not decided that he could join us. But right now dArk got better results in the WC3L, is also playing in the ESL Pro series and had some good results and he will also build the 2on2 Team with yAwS for Germany cause Hanf can’t attend at the ENC Finals if we going to reach them.”

Besides the new additions the German team contains of several talented players. Last year the German team took the Bronze medal but with many talents increasing this year the lineup looks stronger than ever. Gehlen is also convinced of the teams strength and aims for a Top 4 ranking with his team.

“ I am pretty sure we have a strong lineup but got some problems with a good Nightelf playing in our rooster. For sure hanf is pretty good but as i already said he can’t play for us at the Games Convention where the ENC finals will be played. Anyway i think we got several really good players but missing a "topplayer" like Netherlands have with grubby or France with ToD but overall i think we are one of the favorites for the top 4 and we really want to win the Finals. ”
The current lineup of team Germany looks as following.
