The Swedish Night Elf Kim "SaSe" Hammar has made it all the way to the final without losing a single best-of-three, beating the likes of Grubby and ToD while doing so. In the Grand Final he will be facing Gravitas' Mykhaylo "HoT" Novopashyn, reigning SEC champion.

The Samsung European Championship, an all-European version of the WCG, is drawing to an end and two incredibly skilled Night Elf players stand against eachother in the Grand Final. It will, undoubtly, come down to micro, nerves and even a bit of luck to decide the outcome. Not only is there a large cash prize in the pool, but the winner will be granted a direct place in the WCG Finals in Cologone later this year. Let's see if it will be SaSe from Sweden or HoT from Ukraine who can take their skills "beyond the game".

In an interview for WCG-Europe.com, SaSe is asked if he expected to come this far in the tournament. His answer was:

My training in the last weeks didn’t go so well, since I’m back in Europe and my computer and net-access aren’t optimal. So I’ve trained more on a mental level, I just try my best to concentrate on the game completely and not get nervous. Unfortunately I still sometimes think about things other than WarCraft 3 during a match. That’s a disadvantage I’ve managed to reduce in the last few weeks. But still it’s been really tough getting this far and XlorD was a huge challenge. It wasn’t easy winning against him. With Grubby I had just the right counter-strategy against his and ToD sadly wasn’t at his best. But still I’m happy to have made it into the Overall-Finals.
