Once more a nice interviewed was conducted by Street at Gravitas Gaming. This time he takes on the WC3L Head Admin Jupe for a chat about his E-sports related job.
Behind every great competition there are hard-working and responsible admins. Often, their effort is over-looked by the community, but in a recent interview with Julian "Jupe" Peters, Head Admin for the WarCraft III Champions League, we are given a glimpse of his work and also his life. The interview is, naturally, focused on Julian's tasks as an admin and how he keeps the most successful WarCraft III league floating smoothly from day to day.
Among all the interesting facts that are revealed in this interview, Jupe states that he is one of two WC3L admins, the other being Shawn, that actually get paid for their work at ESL and admires his other co-workers who are doing it completely out of free will. Below is an interesting extract from the interview.
Q: Can you describe us how is it, being one of head admins in best Wacraft 3 league? A: There is a certain kind of pressure as an admin of one of the best WC3 leagues: every mistake you make will somehow fall back on the whole team. Every admin decision has to be discussed with the other staff members; the season has to be planned with the qualification phase and the offline finals. Other than that it, is always the small issues players and orgas have.
