The ESWC champion will, for the third time, be of Asian origin. With the semi finalists WhO, ReiGn, Sky and TED coming from China and Korea, Asia has once again showed to be a leading nation in the WarCraft 3 world. As a matter of fact, only SaSe and ToD were the only non-Asians in the playoffs. But when eight turned four, only Asians remained.

SaSe performed badly against WhO, who simply couldn't be stopped. Druids of the Talon and the three-hero-compilation was not enough for WhO's raiders, spirit walkers and well-microed Blademaster. SaSe will have to go home and lick his wounds and prepare for the next offline tournament; the BlizzCon Europe qualifier.

Same went for SaSe's former team mate ToD, who lost against a steaming hot TED by a 0-2 score. TED is now one step closer to his first international achievement, and after his performance so far in this tournament he seems to be well worth to put your money on.

If we are to find one upset, then it was probably ReiGn who defeated his team mate Lyn by a 2-1 score. And the young Chinese talent TH000 was very close in taking down his older countrymate Sky, having a lead of 1-0. But Sky was able to turn it around and could continue his journey to a very much wanted ESWC title.

ESWC will now enter the semi final stage, where ReiGn takes on WhO and Sky plays TED.
