Finland laid their hands on another important victory today in the fourth playday of ENC.
Last match for Sweden and a chance to get the wished-for revenge versus Finland. As in many other sports Finland and Sweden are very equal. This match proved that exceptions do happen. Both teams have a strong roster on the paper and much depends on maps and daily form. This time Finland were the strongest and won the match clearly with 4 wins against 1.
Three victories in a row
Finland have been very strong in ENC this season and today they once again showed what a great team they are. Three matches have been played and three victories have been received. 5-0 versus Croatia, 4-1 versus Russia and the victory against Sweden. An impressing result and if they only win versus Italy they will go directly to the offline finals.
The mirror matchup - a problem for the swedes
Sweden on the other hand have had a hard time in the group stage, started out with a dense lose against Russia. Against Croatia and Italy there were nearly no problems to win. But the match versus Finland was different.
- It started of with a okay lineup. Their lineup was basically the one we had expected except from Satiini playing on SV instead of GW, says EndarS, manager of Sweden and continues. We also hoped that bringer would play on TM instead of Elfi since many of our players didn't feel comfortable with a mirror game.
And it really seemed that the Swedish team have some problems with their mirror matchup but that's not the only thing EndarS wants to change. In a interview with Gosugamers EndarS says that there have to be many changes in the 2on2 team.
- We have to be more flexible with our players, he says.
