Supporting Earthquake Victims: E-Sport Community Lends a Helping Hand
The earthquake in Sichuan province had devastating effect on China. The death toll has risen to 15000 and many people are still considered missing. Now the E-Sport community helps out, with a special event.
The people in China and overseas nations including Japan and USA are helping out as much as they can to relieve this terrible catastrophe.
The Chinese people are a very united community and this shows in the recent organisation of donations for helping out the victims. All communities in China are lending a helping hand and this of course includes the ever growing e-Sport community.
A huge joint movement which will be initiated on the 18th of May for getting people to donate has been organised by Wuji Hardware Forums, 17173.com, Tencent Gaming, Pacific Gaming, e-Sport China and GamesTV. This event has received full support from leading e-Sport associations from all over the world. The names include World Elite, Meet Your Makers, SK-Gaming, Mousesports, Team Colorful, Fnatic and Level 99.
The event will consist of two stages. The first stage will be located at the FengYun Internet Cafe which is the training camp for the team World Elite. Players from WE, MYM, SK, Colorful, Fnatic, mouz and Level99 will be playing live matches and also do a public donation after the games. The second stage will consist of the selling of gaming hardware on Wuji Hardware Forums (www.wuji.org.cn/bbs). The prices for those products will be reduced and the money received will all be used to to help the earthquake victims. All you have to do its click on the "We Love China" section and pick out your ideal hardware.
It's very heartwarming to see such a warm support from the e-Sport community. Many had made statements on this disaster:

MYM]Lucifer: After hearing the news I was very sad, hope everybody can be strong.
mTw-Check: I've been to ChengDu 2 or 3 times and think that it's a beautiful city. So I was very sad after hearing this news. I also heard that many people are injured or dead. While I was in ChengDu, I met many friends and fans. I hope they are all safe and sound.
mouz.SaSe: I have been to ChengDu 2 times and it felt scary to read about the earthquake. It's a nice city where the people are very kind. I feel very bad for all the people it happened to and I hope it will get better soon. Playing this match is not a lot of help, but it's better than just do nothing! Take care everyone and again, wish you all the best!
