After a three-man-qualifier, Shortround and DooKi could enter the group stage of Extreme Masters Los Angeles.

The four Koreans were seeded in the high-seed pool and so on went to be placed in different groups. KiWiKaKi, Nilknarf, Miou and Hanf were in the mid-seed poll, while SonKiE, ShrieK, Shortround and DooKi were in the low-seed. This created an interesting group stage table.

Extreme Masters Los Angeles Group Stage
Group A Group B
Lyn FoCuS
miou KiWiKaKi
SonKiE DooKi
Group C Group D
Susiria Lucifer
Nilk hanf
ShrieK Shortround
The Koreans are the favorites, and this will be a good chance for an Orc player to actually win a big title in 2007. Top favorite should be the SK-Gaming player Lyn, while the two Undeads Susiria and Lucifer who always perform well a bit behind and then the young Orc player FoCuS.

Oldschool player Shortround won the on-spot qualifier, topping the group consisting of only three players. DooKi was the runner-up, and entered the group stage as well. Shortround has not been playing actively at all for about a year, and said in a previous interview that his focus is not on WarCraft 3 at the moment. Inactive or not, he might be able to grab a win or two versus his group fellows Hanf and Lucifer.
