The first season of the WarCraft International Premiership ended yesterday, as ieS Virtual Gaming could defeat Team eSourceUK with a clear 3-0 score.

What was said to become the little brother to the international clan league WC3L has come to an end. WarCraft International Premiership was a merge between the Cold League and the Electronic Sports League, creating a league where everyone could participate in order to reach the regular season. Once the signups and the qualifiers were over, they had a mixed set of teams, some more experienced than the others.

The playoffs eventually capped off, and featured six teams: European Fight Club, 360eSports, ideal-gaming, ieS Virtual Gaming, Team Delta and Team eSourceUK. A double elimination bracket would determine the champions, and in the end ieS Virtual Gaming could end up on top after defeating Team eSourceUK in the Grand Final with 3-0. Gold and Bonecracker were fast in winning their individual matches, while KPECT and FrizzeR hit the nail in the coffin by winning the team game.

The second season of WCIP will be more integrated with its big brother. The top two teams will be granted a spot in the qualifier to WC3L. The winning team of the next season will also win six Saitek headsets.
