Today the WPL organization announced the first division of the new season. This time containing of 5 WC3L teams plus other strong contestants like Russian organizations Gravitas and Lyra.

Today the Warcraft Premier League (WPL) announced the total list of participants for the new season.Thanks to gaming peripherals developer Razer the league is provided with $1.500 in cash prizes and several valuable hardware prizes.

All new players that are added until sunday 17th February 2008 23:59 CET will be allowed to play in the this first round.
In last year’s Season Finals it was Team Delta who took the crown after beating PGS with 3:2. The new season those 2 teams will also be part of the competition. They are accompanied by several WC3L teams. One of these teams are current first place holders in the WC3L, Team Wicked.
Other serious favourites for the title are Gravitas Gaming, Clan Go and Serious Gaming. On the other hand there are several outsiders who could have a shot at the first place.
At the end of the regular competition 4 teams will qualify for the playoffs. Where trough first a semi finals match the winner will be decided in a the Grand Finals.
The organization also created a NGL like second division where teams can qualify for the first division. The WPL-2 teams are:
