Another China E-sports Games tournament is just about to get started in the city of Shaoxing. Plenty of top notch players have been invited and, as always, great games are to be expected.
The China E-sports Games is, as usual, filled with some of the world's best players mixed up with a large group of Chinese talents. This next CEG stop, now in Shaoxing, is no different as professional gamers like FoV, Moon, Sky and xiaOt will be competing with rising talents, such as Wulin and ForDream, for the top prize of $2,700. This series of tournaments has indeed revealed several great WarCraft III talents and who knows who'll stir things up this time. Unfortunately, however, there will be no Europeans participating in this tournament.
The group stage takes place between 4 AM and 11 AM Central European Time with the playoffs due to tomorrow and the Grand Final on Sunday. A group to keep an extra eye on is Group E in which the two superstars Sky and Moon have been placed along with three rather unknown Chinese players. Also, Group D will be an extremely tough one with suhO, xiaOt, Lyc and Like in it. It is surely to be considered the "group of death" of this tournament although Group C looks almost as hard.
In the last CEG tournament, which was held in Changchun in December, the first place went to FoV after beating his BeT teammate Sweet in the Grand Final. The latter will, however, not be able to get revenge since he's not to be spotted in any of the groups although he was originally signed up for the tournament. Though the prize money is relatively low, you can see that there's a good bunch of stellar players participating in the groups below.
