The Blizzard representative Karune has realeased further information on the development of the much anticipated 1.22 patch on the Battle.net forums.
Yesterday, the Blizzard RTS Community Manager, Kevin "Karune" Yu, released a new year's statement regarding the upcoming patch for WarCraft III. With it, he hopes to enlighten all the fans of how far the process of creating and releasing the patch has come.
During the last few weeks he's consistently stated that the patch is considered as top priority for Blizzard and that he's working as much as he can to get it out as soon as possible. He even replied to a forum poster, who expressed his impatience by making a video, with a video of his own where he actually sings to the WarCraft fans in a humble attempt to reassure them that the patch is really on it's way.
Here's the man's statement on the Battle.net forums:
A new year has begun and with that a promise was made to get the next Warcraft III patch out to our fans. During this process, I also hope I can shed some light on how the patching process works. On this thread, I will leave updates and announcements which will hopefully give you more insight into the status of this Warcraft III patch.
