Grubby lost in the first game, versus Fly100%, but was then revived using a wildcard. And what a comeback: taking down Happy, SaSe and Fly100%.
This was the ultimate test. Sure, 4Kings hasplayed and won in the NGL-ONE without ToD, but had a lot to prove this time. And the opposition was quite heavy: a strong Mousesports with Fly100%, Happy and SaSe in the lineup.
It started out with a loss. The superstar Grubby was defeated by Mousesports' Chinese player Fly100%, and chances looked slim for the Kings. Though their newest recruit LiiLD.C stepped up and was able to avenge his team captain, as he defeated Fly100%.
Though a Happy on Turtle Rock proved to be too much for LiiLD.C, losing the match. Now, the hope lied on DeMusliM or FuRy, the only two players left in the lineup. However, due to Mousesports having two Undeads left in their lineup, 4Kings decided to use their seasonal joker and revive Grubby.
And it turned out to be a well-thought plan. Happy could be defeated, and closely thereafter SaSe as well. Mousesports' last hope was supposed to be HasuObs, but the Mice decided to use their wildcard as well - placing Fly100% once again up against Grubby.
This time, Grubby was the one coming out victorious. He showed a very impressive Orc versus Orc mirror play, and could claim the win for 4Kings, scoring a 4-2 result.
