The teams for the offline finals are determined, the playdowns half-finished and therefore it was about time to fight out who will officially finish at the fifth place. We are Go and Mousesports were the teams face each other.
We are Go, formerly known as Team NoA, lost to BeT in the playoffs and therefore could not qualify for the offline finals, while mousesports couldn't do so aswell due to losing to SK. This meant the top four teams were determined, but who should be the fifth and who the sixth? Mousesports and We are Go had to find out and therefore met each other once again.
Next to the honour of being ranked fifth in the WC3L, the winning team might have a slight chance to still make it to the offline finals: If one of the qualified teams for some reason can't make it to Cologne, due to financial problems for example, the fifth ranked team would be most likely invited to the finals. Although at the current point it does not look like any team will miss the finals, the chance might still be there.
While Go finished fourth during the regular season, Mousesports has been ranked sixth. The match between those two teams ended up with a 3-2 score favouring the Korean team Go, and so did the fifth place decider aswell.
It has been a close match and could have ended in either way, but in the end Go was slightly ahead and therefore can call themselves the fifth ranked team.
