Tthe German PGS.PokerStrategy player Thurisaz's behavior in the EPS caused him exclusion from the Extreme Masters plus removal of all his prize winnings.

Germany and EPS. It was previously known that Thurisaz was given six penalty points in the ESL Pro Series due to letting Kelthulas play instead of him in the Pathfinder-Cup. He was also barred from playing for a month.

However, the penalties were not enough as ESL has now given an update on the full verdict. And the penalty was one of the toughest yet in the EPS history.
  • The full verdict

    1 Month Lock
    9 Penalty Points
Removal of his prize winnings in the current Pro Series season
Exclusion from the ESL Extreme Masters qualifier
The German player has a 7-6 record in the ESL Pro Series, which should have given him 21 points and thereby being ranked split sixth place together with hanf. After the points reduction, he is down on 12 points and is ranked 10th. This means that Thurisaz is unable to reach the finals because of the high number of penalty points he received.

Thurisaz's prize winnings, 700€, will not go back to the ESL, but instead be divided to the other players.

GosuGamers have tried reaching Thurisaz for an interview. Hopefully we can get a comment from him later during the day.
