You qualified from Group H, how tough would you say your group were?
- On paper pretty tough but in reality Xyligan didn't take it to serious after his loss vs Paladyn, or maybe he did but he missed games for several reasons so without a 100% Xyligan it was fairly easy because I only had 1 other strong opponent to beat which was either Fury or Paladyn. Not to diss Thomas and Zonder but they are not on the level as the other three mentioned names.
How is the tournament competition, compared to another European event such as Extreme Masters?
- Well it's less prestigious I guess because there is a lot less money involved, but the organization this season has been fairly good compared to others with most players showing up every week, though EM is bigger because you get 100 for winning a single best of three or so, nevertheless I take the tournament serious of course and do my best in it.
XyLigan and RotterdamHow can all these walkovers be avoided? Is prize money the only thing that can guarantee there won't be any no-shows?
- Too many players I guess, and a lot of players quit after a bad start. Maybe because the prize money isn't enough to fight till the last game or something dunno exactly, should ask them and not me since I didn't gave any walkover or something like that.
You are the reigning champion, as you defeated Grubby last season. Does this favourism give you any pressure?
- Hehe, I'm not the favorite at all and not that many people remember it anyway, if you look at the players are left the clear favorites are HoT Creo SaSe and Grubby I guess, but I will certainly "defend my title" with honor and will do my best and who knows I might catch the shape I had back then, even though I played way more back then.
Your opponent for the first round is LiiLD.C, how will you cope with him in order to advance to the next round?
- Will play my best and prepare some this week if I can find the right condition to do so, just hope I will play my best and that it is enough. Played him some weeks ago for ENC where I won 2-0, but he had lags on Turtle Rock and we played reverse race on Lost Temple, but I'm best as elf. So I guess it doesn't mean so much, but to be honest I'm quite confident and of course it will be hard since he's one of the better elves in Europe. I give myself more chances than most would do. I mean more chances than other's seem to give me cause I read everywhere he's gonna win.
