Again Visa problems force players to stay at home instead of playing at a big eSports event. This time SK.HoT did not manage to get a visa to france and therefore he can not attend the Electronic Sports World Cup.

Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn from Ukraine is well know for his good offline performances and has been one of the favourites to win the ESWC. The SK Gaming player already showed great results at several events but at ESWC 2007 he won't be able to do so. He did not get a visa.

Visa problems are still a big issue to many players, mostly for the ones from Eastern Europe. Deadman had a lot of visa problems in the past and so did many others. Nontheless HoT told readmore.de that it has also been his fault because he did not get the visa before WC3L finals in Hamburg. When he tried to get one later on it was too late.

This makes the chances to advance of German elf player Johannes 'Hanf' Morlo being far better, since HoT has been the favourite in his group (Group A) next to his former teammate Deadman.

SK.HoT's statement:
"First of all I am very sorry for what happened. I can assure you, that I tried my best and spent two days in front of the embassy, but still it's the first time that my ask was declined. Mainly its my fault, of course, because I was absent due to WC3L finals and bootcamping for quite some time and I did not arrange a meeting at the embassy before my trip to Germany and after I came back there were official holidays in Ukraine for 4 days plus weekends so the nearest available date for an appointment at the embassy was 10th August. I annoyed them very much, but still even after they took my documents for consideration they declined without comments. That's the first time such thing happened to me and I promise that in future it will not happen again. I will start getting a visa for China (Stars War) today. Sorry everyone who hoped to see me in France. Good luck to everyone, GO INSO!!!"
