[s]interview[/s]
World Cyber Games 2006 was the Chinese Rabbit's first international tournament. Rabbit ended among the honorable top 8, something that he thinks is a pity as he was expecting himself to do better. He went down against ToD in the quarter final, and had before that done a respectable tournament. Emerging from Group K after an exciting tiebreaker where he defeated both Nilknarf and SuperNick. In the playoffs he defeated Carefly and Giacomo, but against ToD the Orc player lost. In an interview with Replays.net he says that the upper bracket playoff was much easier than the lower one. If Deadman had not lost against Ciara, it would have been much tougher.
He also says that previously he did not really find WCG that shocking or special. But while was there he felt the honor to play in it and the desire to be the champion. In the same answer he says that there are many differences in the strategies in Asia and Europe.
Rabbit was in the Chinese WCG team, just as the winner Sky. In the interview they talk a bit about the Sky/GoStop replay issue where Rabbit says that GoStop did not behave rationally.
- Why complain during the game, he asks and also adds that typing such dirty words when fans from around the world were present was just embarassing. "Sky didn't feel good for quite some time" he further adds. Rabbit also criticizes the organizers - he says they did not pay much attention to WarCraft 3 and brings up that they did not list the live broadcast for the Grand Final in the schedule.
Hopefully we will see more from this Chinese Orc player in the future.
