Race wars keep coming back, both in Warcraft and Starcraft. GG Game, famous for their anti-delay software, is having their second one.

They've made this possible with the help of some nice sponsors, partners and backup organizers. Four teams will be organized, obviously, one team for each race. The teams have not, however, been announced yet, and time is running out, since the games are going to be played trough Feb 5th - Feb 12th, which makes it eight days. Three games are going to be played all in all.

So where can we find the tournament roots? Who's playing a role in the event? This will tell you:

  • » Organize: GG-Game.com
    » Co-organize: PLU.com.cn
    » Sponsor: PPLive.com
    » Media Partner: Replays.Net
    » Global Media Partner: MeetYourMakers.com & SK-Gaming.com

Having your own league, tournament or event means you set the rules, which always breeds new innovative ideas. Also, the PPLive Ultimate Race War II, is involved in doing something new. Read the snippet yourself, and let yourself be the judge regarding the rules:

There will be 4 players per team according to race. Each player needs to play 3 sets of BO3 games in total, one from each race. For example, a Human player will need to play with one player from the Orc team, one from the Night Elf team and one from the Undead team. A live drawing will be conducted to determine the matchups. Maps will be pre-determined before drawing. A Key player system will be introduced. It will be in the following format: For Race A vs Race B, key player of Race A and key player of Race B will be voted. If the key player from Race A wins against a player from Race B(not necessary to be Key player vs Key player), Team A will get a bonus point. Nothing will lose if he lost the game. However, in another matchup Race A vs Race C, the key player of Race A will be voted again. A player can only be selected as Key Player twice. If a member of the team wins 1 set of BO3, a point will be added for the team (win --> 1 point). If the player is selected to be the KEY player for the matchup and he wins the game, the team will be awarded an extra point (2 point for a win of Key player). Overall points will be calculated to determine the winning team. If two races have the same amount of points in the end, the winner of the race matchup will rank higher. (eg if Race A has same points as Race B, and Race A beats Race B in the matchup, then Race A will have a higher rank).

We're all eager to know what the teams will look like, and GosuGamers will no doubt report about this when it's announced.
