The Gaming League, or TGL for short, is the newest clan league out there. They have recently acquired SteelSeries, who will be providing prizes to the league, as a sponsor. 24 hopeful teams will now, through a qualifier, try to take one of the 12 desirable slots in the league's first season. Many teams applied but only 24 got selected to participate, a hard selection task if one asks TGL's head admin therapy.
- What I can say about decision on who will make it to the league and who wont is that it wasn't even a bit easy. The process took long and required 100% conentration and dedication from all admins of TGL. We are proud to announce our seeds and other accepted teams today as it is a result of carefull examination and work on their applications.
The twelve teams will be determined through a double elimination system, where the top eight seeded teams gets a freewin in the first round. Both in the qualifier and in the regular season TGL will use the same match system that most leagues use - four 1on1 matches and one 2on2 match, all being played on best of three maps. Therapy states that the reason for chosing this particular system is that it reflects the skill level of players and teams better than a system which uses BO1-matches.

Currently there are several competitive clan leagues out there like WPL, TFL and Cold League to name a few. To make a name for oneself hard work and determination is needed, something that Therapy and his fellow co-workers are aware of. The goals for TGL is something Therapy doesn't want to reveal as of yet, but we are told that they have a clear plan of TGL's expansion and that it will be announced in the future. However he states that TGL was created to set a new example to every league, including leagues such as WPL and TFL. At the same time he takes the opportunity to criticize some of the other leagues and assures that TGL will be something out of the ordinary:
- Some of leagues don't improve what they built so long ago, thats the main problem, status quo in evolution. TGL will constantly improve its services, add new features and work 100% to provide users with service they expect from "a league".
Further he tells us that dedication, hard work, evolution and professionalism are the words that describes the people behind The Gaming League. Therapy also wants to thank their sponsor SteelSeries, their coverage partners GosuGamers, Gamesports, GG Game and TsN as well as the TGL admins and all users that has shown support in the past days.
