Yesterday, the 48 invited players was made official.
- Players are selected for EuroCup participation based on their strength as proven by official match results and/or Ladderaccounts, writes LordInquisitor, the supervisor of the league. He also tells that ClanBase decided to make the league more internationally broadened, which is why some players that might be better from one country is replaced by a not as star quality player from a different country. The total prize money is $4,000 USD, with first prize going for $2,000 USD, then 1,000 bucks for the second prize, 3rd is 650$ and 350$ for fourth prize. The game format is eight groups with six players in each, where the winner of each group qualifies for the playoff directly. The runner-up and third placer from different groups will battle against eachother for reaching the playoff. When the playoffs goes as far as the semi-finals, the four remaining players will be invited to a LAN where the winner will be determined.
The maps for this season are Echo Isle, Gnoll Wood, Lost Temple, Turtle Rock and Twisted Meadows. GosuGamers will give you the coverage of the league as good as we can with GosuBets, interviews, results and replays.
