Another event in China! PGL Invitational features top players from China, Korea and Europe. SaSe and ToD are defending Europe's pride.

China is the new Mecca of WarCraft 3 when it comes to professional gaming. More and more leagues are popping up, and they attract more and more spectators. Just recently it was announced at Replays.net that a new league called PGL Invitational will start on September 4 and will last for a total of six days. This is the first tournament in China that will be broadcasted via the local Chinese TV channels, just like MBC and OGN in Korea. According to GG-Game.com, the Chinese government have unbanned E-Sports showing on television after being banned for three years.

WE.IGE.CheckThe PGL Invitational is, as the name reveals, an invitational event where four players from China has been invited, two from Korea and two from Europe. Fighting under the European flag are ToD and SaSe. The Korean players are Sweet and Zacard, both coming from SK-Gaming's Chinese project Beijing eSports Team. The players defending the Chinese ground are Sky and suhO from World Elite, Hacker_Fly100% and wNv.xiaOt.

It has not been announced yet how the tournament will be played, but it seems rational with two groups a four and then a round robin. More information as soon as possible.

Update

Two more players have been added to the PGL Invitational event. Korean player 4K.FoV and WE.IGE.Check will now join Sweet and Zacard as the invited Koreans. On the PGL site there are two empty spots which probably means that two more players will be invited - Europeans most likely.
