World Gaming Series has announced a sister league to the Warcraft Gaming League but with a different set of rules, maps and a neat little twist.
The WGS organization is one of the few websites still giving teams something to fight for with the WGL, an NGL-based style league often streamed via WTV and that has been going for six seasons now. The WGL brings some of the top teams of the warcraft III professional scene and will begin its sixth season the 6th of June.
But the good news don't stop there. The same organization has recently announced the formation of a new league: Cowboys of Warcraft 3 League. Contrary to the other league, this one will be played in a swiss format with no limit to the teams in it. The matches or clanwars will consist of two 1v1s and one 2v2s, all in a best of three series.
The little twist this new league offers is the addition of six new heroes. One for each race with the neutral ones: The night elf archdruid, the blood elf blood templar, the goblin demolitionist, the undead plague hunter, the troll voodoo priest and the silithid underlord.
