ESL announced a series of leagues for this summer for those interested in a challenge.

With the summer lacking entertainment, ESL has decided to host a series of Warcraft 3 leagues. The format for the leagues are 1v1, 2v2 and a 5v5 clanmatch using the Davis Cup system.

Since they are hosting summer leagues for over 30 games providing prize money or hardware to satisfy each game community is close to impossible. Instead prizes will consist out of premium member status as well as a special League award (Icon) for those placing on top.

It is best to look at the league as a fun experience, to test your skills or for simple bragging rights rather then the next big step in your Esports career. Also do not expect to see the best top20 players of all time playing in the league as well.

According to ESL the league will only involve you playing one match per week till you reach the playoffs so you won't have to worry about constantly playing the whole summer.

Although ESL has announced the summer league since last week, you still have 24 hours to decide whether you want to take the challenge for the summer.
