Photo by: Julia Christophers/ESLDeok Man "Soccer" Youn climbed the ranking today by winning over Dae Hui "FoV" Cho in the 19th playday. Clanless Soccer can now boast with a fifth rank in the NGL-ONE thanks to a +5 win-loss record.
First game on Echo Isles saw Soccer go for warden and panda with archers to later follow up with dryads. FoV went for the death knight and lich combo supported by ghouls, but seem to linger on too long with the weak ghouls. Before reaching next tier level to have enough crypt fiends and statues the Mousesports veteran fell hard when Soccer came walzing in with his higher leveled heroes.
Second game, on Secret Valley, Soccer was unable to counter FoV's gargoyles with hippogryphs. Winning a big decisive fight up north with good position and stronger heroes (mirrored like first game), FoV could see himself even out the score to 1-1.
Soccer could then finish it off on Twisted Meadows in a match very similar to the first game. Soccer was faster and better, which evidently was too much to handle for FoV's ghoul army. With the effective dryad army lead by the warden and the panda, Soccer had a free buffet on FoV's crippled two-fieed-one-statue army. Fov then tried to attack with the remains but Soccer could pin down and kill his heroes and a GG emerged from the Mousesports player.
Besides the all-Korean brawl between Soccer and FoV, Xiang "TH000" Huang defeated WICKED eSports player captain Chul Woo "Shy" Park by a 2-0 score on Turtle Rock and Secret Valley. The win gave TH000 important points to edge out his lead to continue hugging the fourth spot - only one point off from ReMinD and Grubby.
