Team Excello introduces Asian and Oceanic Beta Cup to the community
Excello has been doing Warcraft 3 cups for quite some time now. Yet, they have only had American and European Cups. This has forced the Asian players in the Warcraft 3 community to participate in the European Cups. This is all about to change. Recently Travis "HULK" Pettey has been working extremely hard putting together Excello’s first Asian Cup; Beta Asian Cup.
Only Asian and Oceanic players will be allowed to compete
The Cup itself will be for Asian and Oceanic players only, any player found to not be part of these areas will be banned from the competition. This Cup is designed to get the Asian and Oceanic communities enticed in participating in Excello Cups. The main American and European Cups will start their new seasons in 5 weeks. They will be weekly Cups, however the prizes have yet to be announced.
With full broadcasting you will have hours of viewing pleasure right at your fingertips
The Cups will have full broadcasting with organizations such as; NGTV as well as GGTV and WTV if needed. There are also talks going on to try and persuade PPLive to cover the Cups as well. With NGTV, GGTV and WTV you shouldn’t miss a single match.
The participants list has already been changed to meet the high demand of signups
Within days of the announcement there are already 187 participants signed up ready to compete in the Cup. The Cup will start in approximately 1 week, so there is still plenty of time for people to sign up and compete. With a sudden increase in sign-ups within 2 days the player limit has been changed to 500 participants. You can view the list here
There are no lack of professionals to compete in this virgin cup
Many professional players such as; Fov, FoCuS, Shy, Who, TH000 and Sai have already signed up. With a promise from SK to sign up as well. With only a mere prize pot of 100Euros it is astonishing that so many professional players have signed up to compete. With potential prize growth however it is not surprising that the participants list has grown exponentially over the past few days.
