June "Lyn" Park is nowadays one of the best Orc players in the WC3 professional scene. After many events showing great performances, Lyn still had to claim one international offline event, and this time he did it. Take a look at the exciting final games that Lyn and his fellow Korean Lucifer gave us to enjoy.
Game 1 @ Secret Valley
"The fountain paradise"
First game takes place in Secret Valley, a map which usually favors the Orc, however Lucifer was eager to claim this fountain paradise for The Undead Scourge. Regular start for both players with Lucifer getting Death Knight as first hero while Lyn goes with the sneaky Blade Master. Fiends start to come out from the crypt and grunts from the barracks as both players get ready for some 1 on 1 action. Both players creeps a green spot near the base and Lyn taking advantage of Lucifer's late Knight creeps the upper left fountain. Game goes slow with both players leveling his heroes to prevent an early hero kill and get level three as fast as possible. Teching brings us the first battle as Lyn creep jacks and harass his Korean counterpart with a few grunts and the wind walker, who later reunites with his classic Undead killers partner, the Tauren Chieftain, in the lower right fountain. Lyn power creeps Kel Stonebull to get level 3 as soon as possible while harassing and creep jacking the Undead army, with the Chieftain in level 3, and Jubei putting pressure on Lucifer, the Orc will have the advantage in the game, and this is exactly what Lyn is looking for.
The Scourge goes right to the Orc establishment with 8 fiends looking to destroy some weak burrows to slow the Orc unit production. Lyn desperately tries to repair while his army returns to the base.
After losing two burrows and killing two fiends the peons start to rebuild. The green army retake their old tasks with Kel creeping and the Blade Master being annoying. Lich appears and so does the slaughterhouse. In a very similar way as he did vs Reign some months ago in the W3, Lyn techs to tier 3 to get the reinfOrced burrows upgrade to prevent the burrow harass, and the orb of lightning to attacks destros and more effective hero and unit kills. The Korean Undead goes for another round of burrow harass, however this time is less effective because of the burrow upgrade.
After creeping the whole map and the Big Bad Cow in level 4 its time to attack the Undead base. However the Undead camp proves to be too much for the green army and Jubei and his teammates retreat to the fountain. With Berserkers, expo vs frosties and silencer Dark Ranger as the new addtions of each army for the last battle, The Scourge launches the ultimate attack, however The Horde proves to be too much to handle. GG! Victory for Lyn.
Game 2 @ Terenas Stand
"The forest of kings"
Same start for both player with Lucifer going fiends again. Lyn decided to harass earlier this time to slow the fiend production a little but Luci's ziggurat placement proves to be quite effective. Lucifer continues to creep until level 3 and then go burrow harass, but this time he meets Lyn army and after some nice micro battle with Lucifer doing a fiend surround and using burrow to prevent being ensnared, the Undead is fOrced to tp out.
On a personal note, Lucifer fiend micro in this battle is impressive, put the replay on 1/2 speed at that battle and enjoy it.
With his beastiary and lounge destroyed Lyn knows it will be though to come back in this game but still tries to rebuild as fast as he can while teching to tier 3 again for the same benefits from first game. After some creeping The Scourge is ready to attack, but this time Luci's harassment pays off. GG, victory for the Undead.
Game 3 @ Echo Isles
"The land of the trolls"
BM, DK, fiends, etc. After creeping the upper left green spot, Lyn goes straight to the Undead blight. Lyn and Lucifer meet in the shop where some little battles take place with some units going down. Tauren Chieftain comes out just in time to defend the Orc base and getting some fiends with the help of his Undead killer partner, Tojara. While the blade master takes some fiends down, the Chieftain is creeping to get level 3 as soon as possible like in previous games. Finally, after getting the Dark Ranger the Undead attacks, however in what it seems to be a mirror of the first game Lyn takes the final battle. FOR THE HORDE!!! Lyn is the new Extreme Masters Champion.
