The American organization is down to an all-foreign roster after they bid farewell to their Korean ace Choi "TheSTC" Yun Sik today. Complexity will also stop operating their Academy, the eight-man roster-in-training.
TheSTX (ex-Quantic, ex-oGs) came to complexity in January 2013, a month after the disbandment of Quantic Gaming. High hopes were placed in the 24 year old Terran who in 2012 had placed fourth in MLG Summer Championship and DreamHack Valencia and had taken top eight at DreamHack Summer. Although he was a staple for Quantic in team leagues, in 2013 TheSTC did not enjoy the same individual success and 9-12th finish at MLG Spring Championship was where he peaked.
Complexity also disband their Academy division - a program that discovered talent like Goswser and Sasquatch - citing "lack of American LAN events" which has made the program "less viable for both the players and the organization". At the time of the disbandment, the Complexity academy consisted of eight players with FireZerg among the best known.
With those changes, the entirety of coL.SC2 now consists of six players.
