The Belarusian Zerg Anton "Lowely" Plebanovich, mostly known for his 2012 successes, says goodbye to professional StarCraft as he tweeted about his retirement on the first day of the new year.
Lowely spent most of his StarCraft 2 career in team Guild of Imbalance. Though a part of the scene since its very beginning, Lowely remained relatively unknown to the public until the entire GoI brand was assimilated by FXO.
Once part of FXO Europe, Lowely started to show results and in September he came fourth in WCS Europe 2012, picking $1,800 in winnings. In December of the same year, Lowely took another fourth place, finishing behind PartinGa, Adelscott and MacSed in the World Cyber Games.
In 2013, Lowely saw a decline in his performance once again and a third place at RSL 4 was his only success. The Belarusian's last team was Natus Vincere but he's been teamless since the organization released the SC2 division this November. Yesterday, Plebanovic tweeted that he'll be leaving the professional scene.
It's quite obvious, but i want to make it official. I retire from sc2. Reason: i don't believe i can become top1 anymore.
