US-French-Pinoy tie-breaker ends WCG '13 group stage

The first phase of WCG games is over. The tournament now moves on to playoffs with the last remaining eight players.
Expectedly, the Koreans continued to dominate wherever they were present. The Cinderella story of the WCG Korean qualifiers Sora of CJ Entus followed PartinG's and Soulkey's example and did not drop a single series, topping his group with 12-3 in maps. Second came iG's Protoss MacSed, who edged out North America's Hendralisk and Xenocider with a better map score to advance to playoffs.
China prevailed in Group D as iG's Jim went 12-1 in maps and repeated the success of PartinG from yesterday. For the second spot in the group, a tie-breaker had to be played between Dayshi, EnDerr and Suppy who at the end of the regular round were all 8-4 in maps. The Pinoy Zerg would win the first series against Suppy but was stopped 2-0 by the French Terran who would go on to also beat the American Zerg and advance as the only European in the playoffs.
The playoffs pool will thus consist of three Koreans, two Chinese, two Taiwan and one French player, representing every major StarCraft region besides the Americas. WCG returns early next morning at 04:30 CET.
