HuK triumphs in HSC VIII NA qualifier, Polt falls in QFs

The North American qualifier for HomeStory Cup VIII saw a couple of unexpected results as EG's HuK did a flawless run through the bracket and topped it without a single map loss.
HuK has been trying to get back to his old form, and last night's performance in the HSC VIII qualifier will do a lot to boost his confidence. The Canadian Protoss slaughtered Drunkenboy, Apocalypse and Kane on his way to the qualifier's final where he met fellow EG team-mate Suppy.
Similarly, Suppy was at the center of another upset as he put an end to CMStorm's Polt's spectacular run in the quarter finals. The American Zerg who only recently switched full time and re-signed with Evil Geniuses took down the two times WCS America champion in three games, which allowed him to move on and beat TT1 in the semis by the same score.
Suppy's impressive run finally came to an end as HuK took him out of the competition. Huk 3-0 his Zerg buddy in the final Bo5, this secured his place in the HSC VIII main event alongside Symbol - winner of the KR qualifier - as the second person to qualify.
The third and last HSC VIII qualifier - the one for the EU region - will be played out today, October 23rd. The main event itself is scheduled for November 14-17, to be held in Krefeld, Germany as per usual.
