AZUBU's Zerg ace drilled through a stacked competition of Taeja, Heart, Impact and Crank before joining HyuN in the offline qualifier finals.
Like the first global qualifier, that one, too, was inhabited by Korean competitors who eliminated the foreigners one by one. The Ro32 was the end of prominent Europeans such as Bly, Mana and TLO, the Ro16 saw the forfeiture of Nerchio and the quarter finals eliminated Strelok who went the farthest out of all non-Koreans.
Eventually, a Protoss and a Zerg reached the qualifier grand final. From the top half of the bracket came Axiom's Crank, who defeated Bly, Avenge, Check and Center along the way. He was met by Symbol, who had also went through some tough competition, including players like Curious, Taeja and Heart. A five-game series finally proclaimed AZUBU's ace as victor and the second player to win a seed for the global qualifier finals in Los Angeles on November 3rd.
Meanwhile, the third global qualifier is currently live and is down to the quarter final round. The remaining players are Sora, Bbyong, Impact, Hurricane, Trust, Vines, Apocalypse and Jaedong.
