According to his twitter, Protoss player Jung "Genius" Min Soo (currently teamless) is considering going into retirement. The post comes shortly after Genius' elimination from the Season 3 grand finals.
Known for his BlizzCon championship back in 2010 as well as his Code S silver medal in GSL 2012 Season 1, Genius is among the most old-school active players. Being part of teams NEX, ZeNEX, MVP, SlayerS and finally Azubu, Genius has ten Code S appearances since 2011 and over 360 televised matches.
After experiencing a long slump following his second place in early 2012, eventually leading to his WCS Korea elimination, Genius switched to the European region and managed to get fourth in its most recent season, defeating players like Lucifron, Grubby, ForGG, Nerchio and even reigning Europe champion Duckdeok along the way. That earned Genius a seed for the Season 3 finals but his run there was far less successful. Although the old-timer was able to win his opening match against Jaedong, he failed to build upon this and lost to Trap and MMA, this getting eliminated from the tournament.
Shortly after his elimination, Genius hinted that a possible retirement might be coming.
My fans thank you very much but sorry maybe i retire
