Quantic's Zerg HyuN qualifier for WCS America premier league last night after finishing second in Group E of challenger league, thus completing his transfer from one region's premier tournament to another's.

Despite his multiple high finishes in international tournaments including HomeStory Cup VII (4th), Assembly Summer (4th), MLG Spring Championship (2nd) and DreamHack Valencia (1st), HyuN's runs through the WCS circuit haven't been the most successful. Getting a group with Gumiho, Innovation and Rain made his Ro32 exit from Korea's premier league and later the Quantic Zerg decided to switch regions and try his luck in WCS America.

His decision was almost punished immediately as ROOT's Puck dealt the Korean a 1-2 loss in the very first round of challenger's bracket stage, sending him down to the relegation groups. HyuN didn't have an easier start there either, as a 0-2 loss to another American in State sent him one match away from elimination.

By the power of the walkover against Violet who forfeited his spot in WCS America altogether, HyuN earned himself a rematch against state and this time he was successful. Taking a 2-1 revenge against the Protoss placed him second in the group behind Arthur, who had channeled his auto win against Violet and his 2-0 against State into a group acing.

Three more challenger league groups remain to be played before the premier line-up for WCS America is finalized. Today at 00:00 CET comes the all-American Group F with Neeb, Hellokitty, Vibe and Drunkenboi.
