Once again, Koreans are miles ahead of the foreigners in terms of numbers as eleven of them advanced to the top sixteen, among which tournament favorites like Jaedong, Violet, Polt and Taeja. The rest of the Ro16 pool consists of two hometurf representatives in Scarlett and Minigun, two Chinese fighters in MacSed and Jim and the lone European of team EG DeMuslim.

The round wll be played out before August 5th and August 8th, finishing mere two days before the regional finals are scheduled to take place. As with last season, a total of $100,000 are on the line, a fifth going to the cup holder.
