After two all-kills in rounds two and three, Incredible Miracle bring their momentum to a second GSTL championship in a row (counting the preseason), taking down MVP 5-3.
Reigning as the first HotS GSTL champions from the preseason in February, Incredible Miracle had a slightly rougher start in the first official HotS GSTL season for 2013. The team finished third in the group stage, meaning they had to start the playoffs in round two, awaiting the winner of FXOpen and Azubu.
As their turn to play came, StarCraft 2 fans witnessed a much more dominant play from IM than they had ever shown in the regular season. Azubu were easily 5-0'd by IEM WC champion YoDa and IM moved on to face Axiom-Acer, the joint roster that has been doing wonders in GSTL and other team leagues alike. What happened was another all-kill, this time at the hands of YongHwa and Incredible Miracle entered the grand finals against MVP full of confidence and with a huge momentum on their side.
The winners of the group stage proved a tougher nut to crack. First opened for IM with a double kill before being stopped by Dream, who eventually brought the score back to even. The baton was then passed to YoDa, who in turn put an end to Dream's streak and ousted MVP ace DongRaeGu to climb to a 7-0 score in playoffs before his run was eventually cut by Super.
One game away from defeat, MVP was putting all their eggs in the Super basket but while the talented Protoss had shown impressive results during regular season (including an all-kill against FXOpen), he couldn't pull his team out of the one game disadvantage. Squirtle stepped in as IM's ace to finish the job and bring yet another championship to Incredible Miracle.
