GSTL determined yesterday the five teams that will enter the playoffs stage, which is to award $46,000 to its champion. Azubu and StarTale will open the bracket on July 12th at 11:00 CET.

Azubu were the fourth team to make the top five as on Friday the team under Violet's captainship outbattled GSTL leaders MVP in seven games. Keen opened with a double kill for the leaders against Zerg powerhouses Violet and Symbol but his streak was stopped by Supernova who, on his part, was stopped by Shine. Fortunately for Azubu, they were not completely out and by the power of a triple kill from BBoong the game was turned around into a 4:3.

Azubu's advancement left just one spot open and it was up to StarTale to win in or lose it. Any victory against LG-IM would send them to playoffs just as any loss would leave them on the outside looking in, allowing for the advancement of FXOpen.

A combined Terran effort , however, prevented the worse from happening. After dropping the first two games to IM's Ragnarok, StarTale called forth Hack to stop the spree of the Zerg and kill YongHwa as well, forcing Incredible Miracle to summon PvT expert First. The Katowice champion barred Hack from bathing in a triple kill but his time in the booth was shortlived. StarTale's last man Bomber overcame the Protoss threat and disposed of yet another in MC's face to seal the seven-game match and allow for StarTale's advancement over FXOpen.
