Swedish Zerg Rickard "SortOf" Bergman shakes hands with Team Alliance and joins compatriot Naniwa in the now two-man roster. Bergman's WCS debut with the new colors is on July 17th.
SortOf's signing with Alliance comes a week after the Swede left his former team Wester Wolves at the end of a year-long stint. Wearing the Wolves emblem, SortOf secured a NASL 4 top four and multiple other playoffs finishes at IEM, DreamHack, ESWC and WCS events.
SortOf is the second player that the Swedish-based Alliance have attracted since their creation this April, the other being renowned Protoss player Johan "Naniwa" Lucchesi. The official announcement also speaks of the duo traveling to Korea to prepare for their upcoming WCS Europe matches.
As long time friend of our player Johan “Naniwa” Lucchesi, we’re elated that Rickard has decided to join us and help grow our team. We want to keep our squad small and close knit; Rickard fits the bill perfectly for the kind of player we are looking to have on Alliance. He and Johan will be traveling to Korea in the coming week to prepare for the next WCS Europe season and they will make their return in the off season to prepare for the season that follows.
