After a long day of Challenger circuit matches, most of the premier league drop-outs leave to fight another day, making for what has the potential to be a killer second round.

Monchi, Siw, Socke, Titan and SortOf - those were the only five ex-Premier league players to fall in the very first day of the Challenger league, making for the advancement of such players like MC, ToD, Tails, Beastyqt and Tefel. The latter five thus advance to the next round, one step closer to the final bracket matches that will shoot eight players back into the premier division.

15 more players followed the ones mentioned above out of the Challenger bracket stage and into the second-chance group stage, BlinG, Elfi, Finale and Harstem amonst them.

All in all, WCS Europe continues to keep its regional integrity as much as possible and the number of Korean flags in the league is still bearable and where they are present, they make for some intersting match-ups. One such highlight match is between fan favorites Grubby and MC, who will be meeting each other in a grudge match from IEM Singapore in the next round of the bracket stage. Ret vs Mana, Tod vs Slivko and Tails vs Bly are also among the matches that are to draw community's attention.
