Meeting up with many of the American players in the StarCraft programing area I got to observe the non main stage matches. I met G5, Machine and InControl. Casting the stage matches were Artosis, Tastless and dj Wheat.
I got to see Idra's matches against Yellow and since they were not on the main stage I got to observe from Yellow's screen. The matches mostly were Yellow not being able to see inside Idra most of the game due to turrets being placement and sheer amount of them.
In Game 1 Idra was pushing a m&m force against Yellow natural and did some heavy damage but was pushed back by a good force of guardians and mutas. A nice push of vessels and wraiths helped seal the first game for Idra.
The 2nd game started similarly to the first but Yellow went with some lurkers this time to combat the m&m push that he (rightfully) assumed Idra had. Idra again was able to keep Yellow out with some really nice placement of the turrets. Yellow was looking good for a while but strong micro from Idra with his marine/medic/science vessel combo prevented him from using his Lurkers effectively.
