Tomorrow the new season of BWCL start. With new teams such as LRM, IPS, fOsc and BW, perhaps this will be the season when ESC is dethroned. Expect some real high level play.

The old teams should need no introduction by now. You all saw them fight for their position in this league the last season and most of them are top teams in several other leagues too. Note though that the American team NrG has found a new sponsor and is now known as the British NvG instead, Nervous Gamers.
Out of the four new teams the Spanish power team Los reyes del Mambo is, with players like OctoberZerg, Fenix and Lamer, the one with the highest expectations on them. It will add a fresh wind of foreign top players in the BWCL and might even put up a good fight against ESC, something that has been lacking.
Next we have the relatively unkown team IPS. Although not many big name players in their roster they came out as number one in their division, ahead of LRM. That is an impressive feat in itself and bodes well for their future.
BW enters as the second Swedish team in the top division. No doubt a strong team they should still be the underdogs this season. They managed to enter division 1 in the last minute, collecting a number of wins from their post poned matches, and then beating Maximus Brood in a tiebreaker for the second place.
The last of the four is the Russian team fOsc. A relatively untested Russian team it is hard to say how strong they are. Their most known player is the well known and feared 2v2 player Yan who has completely dominated the ICCup 2v2 ladder.
The new map package has also been announced (Find them here!), including some of our old favourites Gaia, Tau Cross, Othello and Rush Hour 3, as well as the new popular maps like Destination, Medusa and Andromeda.

This first week will give the newcomers a good chance to prove themselves. IPS will be tested by fire right away by ESC, who have been undefeated the last two seasons in BWCL! It should be an easy snack for ESC. Same with BW facing off against mTw. The German team definetly have to be considered the favourites in this match up, even though it is not impossible for an upset. LRM should however be able to win their first war with a score somewhere around 4-2.
The most interested game of the night should be fOsc vs NvG. NvG having proven themselves last season as a stable and strong clan will be a good opponent for the new Russians, showing what they got. This match can really go either way tomorrow night.
The match between LRM and NaW will be streamed, so be sure to tune in tomorrow!
King of Kings
As is tradition when a BWCL season is over, there will be a KoK tournament! It is an individual tournament, where the different teams taking part in BWCL nominate their players to take part. Division one teams can nominate three players each, division two two players, and divison three and four, and the teams on waiting list, can nominate one player each.
It is a single elimination tournament held on ICCup and will go off at 14th of March! If your clan is in BWCL, don't miss the chance to send your best player(s) to this event!
More info on this tournament can be found by clicking here.
Interested in taking part in BWCL?
There are still spots open in division four! If you wish to participate just contact a BWCL admin about it to be added. You can do this up until the 20th of March.
