In the final group of round two, White-Ra, IefNaij, and Advokate clashed to determine who would take the final spot in the tournament.
Ascension has been much more than a tournament. It has been a display of true gosu skills that we have had the privilege of experiencing for almost five months now. There have been some amazing wins, and some devastating defeats. This week was the last of the second round; tensions ran very high and everyone had to play their best game if they wanted to join the other two finalists, Yosh and Mondragon from the Templars of Twilight.

Harass, harass, harass
After watching this group, one will understand the true value of mineral line harassment. The first two games saw the Canadian IefNaij from Excello kill nearly fifty units; mostly SCVs or Probes, with only a single Reaver and a few High Templars. After successfully dropping and crippling his opponents economy, his army simply moved in and cleaned up the rest.
Undefeated?
At the end of the second game, Advokate could not continue playing, leaving White-Ra and JF to fight for the spot themselves. Game three and four saw JF pull out two more quick wins, using micro and harassment to defeat White-Ra. IefNaij is undefeated so far in Ascension, so we are in store for a truly epic series as he battles Yosh and Mondragon in the finals!
