Three weeks of battles to make it to the second round of the OSL sounds painful, unless you're just watching. In which case it sounds absolutely delightful. The Incruit StarLeague is here, and it's promising to be as entertaining as always.

The first round of the Incruit StarLeague is a massive 36 players spread over 12 groups. That means there's three players per group. Two of which qualified via the enormous offline OSC tournament, while the last player in each group is one of the players from the last StarLeague (excluding seeds).

The first round of the Incruit StarLeague is reminiscent of how the old ODT used to work. The two offline qualifiers face each other in a best of three and the winner plays the previous StarLeague qualifier for a slot in round two of this StarLeague.

Incruit StarLeague Round 1 Group A
HyuK < Pure Plasma
HyuK > Pure Return of the King
HyuK < Pure Andromeda
Sea > Pure Plasma
Sea < Pure Return of the King
Sea > Pure Andromeda
Sea[Shield] advances to round 2

As expect perhaps Sea advanced and Plasma produced some interesting play with Protoss camping to high ground bases versus Zerg and then going fast carriers versus Terran. An interesting map indeed. Return of the King provided more standard play. The next group will be played on Wednesday and promises to bring some great games. Surely it will be interesting to see what Flash gets up to on Plasma.

Incruit StarLeague Round 1 Group B
EffOrt vs KaL
Winner vs Flash
Being played on Wednesday
