The progaming team eSTRO has gotten a lot of attention in the foreign scene lately, since the StarCraft SuperStarS tournament was announced only a short while ago. One of the top five players was suppose to get a full paid trip to live and play with the progamers in eSTRO.

Just a few days after the announcement the tournament was played and we now have a winner. The top five players that eSTRO is going to chose from will be IdrA, Skew, Dino, XiaOzI and the winner of the fifth placement match between IefNaij and NonY, which has not been settled yet.

lilsusie has had a little chat with Stu

Susan Kim, more known as "lilsusie" from Gameriot, has caught up with Stuart "Stu" Brooks who was in charge of the tournament to talk about the players, the matches and however the player getting picked for the Korea trip will become an actual part of eSTRO. She is doing her best to get the most out of him but it seems Stu does not know very much at all, even though he is said to be in charge, as he keeps pointing out someone else who knows better.

Late announcement and inactive players?

It seems that many of the players picked were not in their top shape and rumor has it that many of the them were not really interested in the ticket to Korea, playing only to win the money. This was explained by Stu; according to him Rick 'PuertoRican' Sanchez has been administrating the tournament and also choosing the players.

The inactivity issue also mentioned, seems to still be a problem though, as Stu says they needed to make some player changes right before the first matches, because of players going inactive. However, this will change, he says, when the event gets more known it will for sure get more time in the spotlight.

eSTRO, salary and more tournaments

Also promised, are more similar tournaments (European ones as well) but dodging another question Stu just says it is just in the beginning of the planning stage, and he thinks that PuertoRican might be a part of it, but he does not know yet as it is too early to say.

Moving on to the upcoming Korea trip they have a lot of hard work to do, to sort out who will get to go there. Again Stu does not know an exact date for some kind of a deadline to make the decision but he says it should be made by the end of the month. If it wont be delayed that is.

Another hot subject discussed is how things will work for the American player who gets the ticket to Korea. His salary, his training hours and if he will get an actual spot is mentioned and Stu says there is no reason to not believe that the American player will not get a spot in the team at some point. What he does not know is how the training schedule will look like:
- They will be practicing with and against eSTRO. I know Daniel Lee, our eSTRO head coach could give more precise details on the training regimen.
