Top notch non-Korean action in Group A, with Testie, Pj and Fenix. Koreans? No Casy and no AnyTime. The Korean player Calm has taken the second spot, while the third Korean spot is still to be determined.

IEST Global Finals 1st Group Stage
Group A Group B
Pj Fengzi
Testie Calm
Fenix Blackman
Group C Group D
LeiLei Phoenix66
Hwasin TBD
Advokate White-RaThe global finals in International Electronic Sports League is finally upon us. To start off the tournament, a group stage where the top two from each group will advance after playing each other round robin best of three. Four very interesting groups. Group A has the WCG silver medalist Pj, Randomizer Testie and the dark horse Fenix.

Group B has Fengzi who impressed many in the qualifier. The oldschool Zerg Pole Blackman is also in the group, along with the Korean progamer Calm. Let's just call it the Zerg group. While B is the Zerg group, Group C is the Terran group. LeiLei, Hwasin and Advokate battling it off in a three-way mega mirror. Note that LeiLei ended in fourth place of the Chinese preliminary, and that he replaced Draco who decided not to take part.

The last group has Phoenix and White-Ra so far, as the IEST is unsure which player to fill the last spot. It looks as neither AnyTime nor Casy will attend. Will the IEST have to throw in yet another Chinese player from the qualifier?
