The Starcraft Superstars tournament took place, and the stars sure shone bright tonight... of the 16 invited players and after almost 9 hours of gaming, the brightest star tonight was not seen in the north sky, but was the American player, IdrA ! But will he go to Korea to live the dream? Only time will tell.

The Starcraft Superstars tournament, organized by GGL-PuertoRican and sponsored by the Progaming team, eSTRO featured 16 of the top North American players out there. eSTRO wanted this to be an endurance tournament, and indeed it was; the gaming lasted nearly 9 hours, and the American Skew even had to take a break to go to the store to buy some energy drinks to stay up. Now that all is said and done, the time stands 6 AM, about when the kids are waking up to go to school!

So before getting into the fun stuff, let's take a look at some of the results of the Starcraft Superstars tournament:

After 9 hours of intense gaming, the top 4 and prize money earners were known! Taking home the gold, and the fat paycheck was IdrA, defeating his team-mate and good friend Skew in the Grand Final. Dino and Xiaozi took the other two money spots. The fifth spot (TBD) will go to either IefNaij or NonY. These five players will be examined by the eSTRO coaching staff, and the lucky winner who will be selected will have an all expenses paid trip to Korea to compete for a spot on the eSTRO progaming team!

This is surely an exciting opportunity not just for these five lucky players, but for the entire foreign community! To have some fresh foreign blood in the Korean mix will surely give a much needed spark to us here! Finally we'll have a white dude to cheer for again!

Whoever is chosen to go to Korea will be following in the footsteps of others who have gone; Draco, Assem, Legionnaire, being the most recent; definitely good company to be mentioned amongst! It is not sure when eSTRO will make their decision, but we will inform the community once the decision has been made!!

Once again, congragulations to IdrA for winning the Starcraft Superstars tournament, and the chance for one lucky North American player to become a star, to make their dreams of progaming come to fruition.
