Match for Third 02.00
Mondragon> White-Ra2-0

With an impressive win against Savior under his belt Pj now faces the just recently crowned #1 KeSPA player Stork who finished 2nd in the South Korea WCG Tournament. We now have a guaranteed Protoss winner for WCG 2007. 2007 has been literaly the year of the Protoss and I think this year's WCG really exemplifies that sentiment as there has been a lot of powerful Protoss players and matches during the entire tournament, which is really was shown when Pj really locked down Savior in their third match.

Will PvP be an enjoyable final? I think it will be as we have some of the two best Protoss players in the world going head-to-head. We have Stork who has really ramped up his play since the group play and solidly won his matches in bracket play. Stork has yet to lose any matches since "losing" to White-Ra in the group play. Will Pj have what it takes to win WCG and beat one of the best Protoss players in the world? We will find out tomorrow as both players face off on the main stage and close out WCG 2007 for StarCraft. What an exciting finish to a tournament filled with controversy and surprises!

Tomorrow, at 20:00 CET the Grand Final will commence. Chinese player Pj, who surprisingly defeated sAviOr in the quarter final, goes up against Stork who minutes ago chewed off Mondragon in the other end of the brackets.

The map system works a bit differently than in the group stage. Each player will pick one map to be used for the first two games. A WCG referee will then choose the third map, if necessary.

If you are tired of waiting, the match for third prize between Christoph "Mondragon" Semke and Aleks "White-Ra" Krupnick will be played in a half hour (02.00 CET).
