Bulgarian player Ready and Greek player sataNik escaped group B with 3-1 records. The big surprise of the group is that the German Zerg BrEaKdOwN finished tied for third in the group (2-2), where he was expected to finish number one in the group. The group was predicted to be a really close call for second place and Ready surprised everyone with some really solid play. sataNik used some aggressive play to make it out of the group and it will be interesting to see how these two gamers do as they move on to the bracketed play. Best of luck to both players.

Chinese Terran player Phoenix66 managed to beat the group with an early win against second place finisher GoOdy of Germany and then went on to be flawless in his group, finishing at 3-0. Go0dy came back from his early loss and managed to win the rest of his matches finishing 2-1. Lamer and iNcontroL were expected to win the group but struggled. iNcontroL was really expected to take the top spot in the group and with Nyoken’s poor showing in Group D the USA has no players left in the StarCraft tournament and will have to watch from the sidelines. There's always next year though right?

An exciting group filled with unknowns - it became clear by the end of the day that it was not the Americans' year to shine. Nyoken was looking good early on as he beat the group favorite Androide but he fell to 2-2 in the end, just missing the opportunity to continue. Androide recovered really well and brought his full focus as he always does at the WCG and ended up on top of the group at 3-1 with JamesFoo finishing second at 3-1 due to his loss to Androide. asS from Mexico had a chance to make it into the finals but fell to Androide in his last match to finish 2-2 in the group. Archer unfortunately wasn’t able to get a win at all in the group but was able to represent Trinidad. Also check out » Raistlin's take on Nyoken's dissapointing perfomance
