They are not only announcing their return, but have already come up with a new campaign - Ascension of Duran. Probably every hardcore SC and SC:BW campaign fan knows Samir Duran. This mysterious, former UED member, infested by the Zerg is thought to be a Xel'Naga agent. Now, he also takes part as the major character in the new campaign.
The campaign consists of five missions and two additional parts - the prologue and the epilogue. It uses a custom exe file, which according to Mantidz - Ascension's of Duran creator changes 'things like unit attack types, graphics, portraits, sounds, etc.'. You can choose between full and lite version, with the former consisting of some custom music. As we can see at CampaignCreations official site, there also two new Protoss characters, with their own portraits. These are Xereus, a 757 years old Dark Templar from the Xereian Marauders and Aka'Yako Waka, a 401 years old Templar from the Fleet of the Matriarch. There are a few more characters, like Sinclaire Quetz, a friend of Jim Raynor, but you should check them by yourselves!
The campaign starts basicly with Duran coming to Kerrigan with some important information, and says he wants to reveal it to her in return for the same psionic powers she acquired. There are also Protoss plotting something in the background. Even though some of you might not like the beginning of the story, we strongly recommend to check it out.
