On September 12th, 16 players will be gathered in Beijing, China from across China, Korea and around the world to participate in the PGL StarCraft Season 2. The tournament will stretch across 12 days and a total of 75,000 RMB will be awarded to players with 40,000 going to first place. Four players from China and Korea are given invites while only three are invited from around the world. The remaining five spots are seeded to players who will have to battle through qualifiers to gain those seeds. So who will be the challengers to take a crack at the grand prize this year? As it stands there is still one World invitation that has yet to be decided. However the status of MYM.Testie is still up in the air. It seems that Testie has encountered visa issues, namely, getting one. Testie states that a lack of motivation culminating from various sources has caused his decision to forgo getting a visa thus far. The unfamiliar maps in the league and his own departure from BroodWar lately has caused him to think twice about the trip to China. The possible main reason for Testie's reluctance in getting a visa Testie says, "is the fact I cannot choose whatever race I wish depending on the player and the map/matchup." This is due to Rule 5. of the PGL rules, which states, "5. Each player should have a certain race during the whole tournament." For now Testie is still in talks with the PGL organizers. As for the maps, they are as follows:
Season 2 Maps
Tau Cross
Python
Longinus
Desparado
Monty Hall
As for the remaining invitee only time will tell who this person will be, and possibly even a second invitee will be found to replace Testie's spot. If the previous PGL Season has shown anything, it is that this is still any person's tournament.

The first PGL StarCraft season ended with a victory to a Draco that was on the verge of retiring after his recent stint in the Korean leagues. This year Draco has been invited back for another chance to win the 4,000€ grand prize. Another invitee from outside of Asia is Testie, who is still in murky waters.
